SSC CHSL 2023 : Selection Process
The Staff Selection Commission has recently updated the selection process for SSC CHSL 2023. The selection process has been changed from three stages to only two stages. Candidates who are interested to apply for this recruitment process should be aware of this change and also the new exam pattern. The selection process will consist of two computer-based exams known as Tier 1 and Tier 2.
SSC CHSL 2023 : Exam Pattern:
To select the candidates for SSC CHSL 2023, the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will conduct two computer-based examinations known as Tier 1 and Tier 2. Candidates who clear both Tier 1 and Tier 2 will be considered as the final selection.

Here are some key points to keep in mind for SSC CHSL Exam:

SSC CHSL Skill Test 2023 for Data Entry Operators (Only)
SSC CHSL 2023 Skill Test is conducted to verify the writing skills of the candidates and their computer aptitude. Here are some important points to keep in mind:
1.The writing test will be conducted in both Hindi and English.
2.All candidates are required to attend the skill test and no one is exempted from it.
3.This phase is qualifying in nature, which means that the marks obtained in this phase do not count towards the final assessment.
4.The typing speed required for English is 35 words per minute (w.p.m.) and for Hindi it is 30 w.p.m.
A skill test will be conducted for the post of Data Entry Operator (DEO) to test the candidate’s data entry speed.

SSC CHSL Exam Pattern 2023: Notable Points
1.Based on Tier-I exam candidates will be selected for Tier-II exam. Normalized scores will be used to determine the final selection.
2.There will be different category restrictions for different posts like DEO, DEO Grade ‘A’ and LDC/JSA.
3.Candidates will be shortlisted for Tier-III examination based on their performance in Tier-I + Tier-II. The minimum marks required to qualify for the Tier-III exam is 33%.
4.Level III Skill Test for DEO is compulsory for all qualified candidates and Level III Writing Test for posts other than DEO is compulsory for all candidates except those exempted.
5.Final selection and allotment of Ministries/Departments/Offices will be based on candidates performance in Tier-I+Tier-II examinations and their preference for posts/departments at the time of document verification.
The committee will recommend candidates for appointment on the basis of their total marks in Papers – I and II and their preference for the posts.
